Rybakówka, an agrotourist guesthouse for highly demanding people, is located in the very heart of Lake Koronowo (area: approx. 1,600 ha, depth up to 21.2 m), in the village of Sokole Kuźnica.
The beauty of this place is influenced by its specific topography, particularly in the area of the Brda River Valley. The exceptionally clean Brda River is one of the most beautiful kayaking trails in Europe. The area of Lake Koronowo, covering about 30,000 hectares, is located in the lower section of the Brda River in the Region of Kuyavia and Pomerania, in the vicinity of the town of Koronowo.
The natural assets of the area are additionally enhanced by an interesting shoreline (more than 100 km long) with numerous bays, bends and romantic islands. The beauty of this water body is also highlighted by compact forest complexes, predominated by pine trees, featuring small groups of silver birch. In some areas we can also find sessile oak. on the slopes of the Brda River Valley we can find mixed oak and hornbeam forest with some sites overgrown with Norway maple.
In ground flora of forests we can find blueberries, cranberries, common heather and fern, and first of all an abundance of mushrooms. The wildlife is represented primarily by deer, roe deer, wild hogs, and hares.
Lake Koronowo and neighboring lakes attract flocks of mallard ducks and mute swans during the season.
There are also such birds as while-tailed eagle, crane, gray heron, and falcon.
We can also find beavers and otters, confirming unpolluted natural environment.
In the Brda River and local lakes we can find the following fish species: lake trout, grayling, trout, pike, tench, perch, eel, chub, and zander.
We need to mention that around the Lake there is a special zone of a protected landscape area. Due to its location, Lake Koronowo and its surrounding area constitute an attractive land for getting involved in various forms of tourism and recreation.
